Gary C. David, PhD
Since my early days as an aspiring sociologist, I have been interested in the little moments that bring people together. My dissertation research on interactions in immigrant-owned business focused in on how small talk can establish rapport and positive relationships between customers and workers. My work on distributed software development teams looked at how workers could build connection through their routine interactions. I’ve even studied how police officers build rapport with suspects during interrogations.
Our goal as experience designers is to help improve situations, processes, and outcomes wherever they are. The biggest opportunities we have are often in the most basic moments.
“The Un-WOW: Your Blueprint for Experience Designs of All Kinds” is meant to help guide you in your design journey to create experiences for any situation and of any type.
